Terms and Conditions
Eligibility: Person requesting vouchers or reserving a pass must be an Englewood resident, 18 years or older, with a valid Englewood Public Library card in good standing. Museums have the right to ask a visitor with a library pass to present his or her library card, so it is highly recommended that you bring your card with you that day.
Availability: Reservations for passes will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made up to two months in advance by calling the library at 201-568-2215 or visiting the circulation desk.
Returns: The pass must be returned the day after use unless the library is closed on that day. Pickup and return dates must be agreed upon at time of reservation.
Deposit: The deposit required for passes is to ensure that the pass is returned to the library on the agreed-upon date. The deposit (minus any applicable late fees) will be refunded to you when the pass is returned to the library.
Cancellation: You may cancel or reschedule a reservation by telephone or in person at any time up to and including the date of your pickup. If another patron has made a reservation in the interim, you may need to return the pass to the library and pick it up again the day before your rescheduled reservation. Your cash deposit will be returned at the library only.
Late Fees: $5.00 will be deducted from your deposit each day the pass is not returned past the agreed-upon date.
Deposit Forfeit: The full deposit will be forfeited by you if the pass is not returned within 4 library-open days after the agreed-upon return date OR if the next reservation could not be honored because of a late return. If you continue to hold onto the pass, you will incur a $5 late fee for each succeeding day.
Lost Passes: Patron assumes full responsibility to reimburse the Friends of the Englewood Library for the replacement cost of any lost pass. Children’s Museum of Manhattan, Intrepid and NY Historical Society: $50.
